Pitbulls have been being bred bigger and bigger for about 20 years now maybe even longer. They are starting to gain a lot of attention by the media and the general public. They are starting to create their own bloodlines for these huge monsters. They do come at a cost though, on the low end you are expecting to pay around 3k or more for a pitbull over 100 lbs. I have seen some of the prices for these puppies at 15k for 1st picks of the litters. I’ve seen some XXL Dogs sale for 40k up to 100k. There are many people who want these dogs.

You can check out XXL Pitbulls to view more information on these dogs and their bloodlines.

Common Terms Associated With Pitbull Breeds

These are some of the more common and layman’s terms you will hear to describe the Pitbull breeds or Pitbull bloodlines. Whilethey may not be accurate terms being used, they are very common.

Blue Nose Pitbull

Blue Nose PitbullThe term “Blue Nose Pitbull” gets thrown around often. This term is used to describe a dog with a blue nose and a blue coat. Occasionally, some people will use this term to describe a puppy from parents with a blue nose and coat color (regardless of the coat and nose color of the puppy). Some believe the Blue Nose is a bloodline, but really it is just a novice term for a coat and nose color. Click here to read more about the Blue Nose Pitbull

Red Nose Pitbull

Red Nose PitbullThe term “Red Nose Pitbull” is another common one. This term is used to describe a Pit Bull with a red coat and red nose. The appropriate use of this term is used to describe a strain of Pit Bull, the Old Family Red Nose (OFRN). Old Family Red Nose is a strain coming from many different Pitbull bloodlines. The notice use of this term is just referring to nose or coat color, a dog spawned from parents of this nose and coat color. Click here to read more about the Red Nose Pitbull

Gator Mouth Pitbull

gator mouth pitbull breedsI believe this term is starting to disappear, but this term used a lot about 5 to 8 years ago. The big wide smile of some Pit Bulls are sometimes thought to be a characteristic of a bloodline, or it is used the affectionate term “gator” or “gator mouth” . The appropriate use of this term is to describe dogs from the lineage of Plummer’s CH Alligator. However, many say this boy sired very few pups. Click here to read more about the Gator Mouth Pitbull
